The ruins still mighty of the Rock of Civitella in Val di Chiana, shall be the underlying domain fortified village. Civitella, place on top of one of the highest hills between the Val d'Ambra and the Val di Chiana, is one of the best preserved, of the many forts of origin Longobarda built during the VI and VII century and strategically places control of central Italy. The structure of the village still remains the route of the wall, almost intact. The village remains well contained the remains of medieval walls, interrupted by square towers along with a fortified gate intact, point of access to the village called 'Aretina'.
